Come learn how to make compost with worms! Building organic matter in our soils is the best way to sustainably grow our own food – and amending our soils with compost is one of the best ways to do that! Do you have a lot of food scraps? Live in an apartment? Worm composting is for you! This workshop will mostly be hands-on, but will also include an engaging lecture learning. We will be modeling a system that is best in small backyards or indoors.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Lori CaldwellI is an Alameda County Master Composter, avid edible gardener, and Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscape Professional. A garden instructor for more than a decade, Lori's mission is to reconnect people with the soil and all that it provides.
