In addition to saving water, water-wise gardens increase biodiversity, improve soil health, reduce the need for pesticides, and reduce carbon emissions through less maintenance requirements compared to a conventional lawn. In this webinar, EBMUD Water Conservation Representatives Jolene Bertetto and Kristin Bowman will go over the key principals of water-wise gardening including sheet mulching, plant selection, and irrigation concepts. They will also share EBMUD resources to help you get started on losing your lawn and creating your dream garden.
